Ostrobothnian decor traditions

On the Museum Thursday February 1st, we will offer a short introduction to Ostrobothnian building and decor traditions during the 19th century.

We will take a look inside a few of the houses, to see how people of different social groups would decorate their homes. A home-owners social status would usually be visible from how a building was painted from without and within, as well as the type of roof used. The guided tour will take place at 13 o’clock in Swedish, at 14 o’clock in Finnish, and 15 o’clock in English. We will meet at the yellow info-stand, next to the parking area. Dress according to the weather, for we will be outside a lot.
