The summer season at Stundars has reached its end for this year. After an eventful summer, we will at first take it easy and focus on dismantling the temporary exhibits in the museum village for winter storage. The Museum Thursdays will begin again soon, with guided tours and other activities at the museum, as advertised. The Museum Thursdays will continue until November, when our Christmas programme begins. After Christmas the Museum Thursdays will continue from January until May. You can find a more detailed program in our calendar, and on our Facebook-page and Instagram account. There is also the possibility of booking a personal guided tour or some other activity in the museum village.
On the first Museum Thursday of this autumn, we will offer a free guided tour, on 3rd of September. This will be the final chance to visit the exhibit “With Paint & Bricks”, before it goes on tour to Sweden. The exhibit will be opened 18-19:30, and project leader Anette Hästbacka will be present, answering your questions about traditional decorative painting and fireplaces in Ostrobothnia and Västerbotten. At the same time the exhibit “Decorated” will be open in the Farm House.
Later Museum Thursdays in September will be a tour about emigration on 10.9, a tour to the Soldier’s Cottage on 17.9, and a guided tour about the harvest season on 24.9.
